Thank you Ward for an extremely memorable tour of your farm and getting to meet all the animals you care for so deeply. We hope more of your eels return in time. The Kaimanawa horses are gorgeous and really love their carrots. It was great to see the connection you have with them. The wind was impressive on the day we were there. Watching you open gates and park the van to avoid the doors being ripped open was definitely food for thought. It is a harsh exquisite climate that you work in every day. The wind turbines were a treat. They are so impressive close up and worth going on the tour for that alone. Our son still remembers the wind turbines and will say “wind turbines” at random points throughout the day. It always makes us smile as the memories come flooding back. Then who can forget Mr Bumpy? The most human-like sheep we have ever met. Your biscuit trick is first class. The cabin is humble and homey. You can feel the wind howling around outside and it makes for a very nice escape from the elements. The Puhoi Valley milk tastes amazing. We went and bought some from the local New World after the tour. Beats anything we have tasted yet! Thank you to your wife for the amazing tasting muffins. We also got a good tip from you about the “Houdini Stop”. All in all it was a sensory, informative and utterly captivating tour.
